Handmade greenwood stools using locally sourced British hardwoods. All of the wood used in the production of my furniture is harvested locally from either wind blown trees or from sustainably managed woodland as part of a natural thinning and woodland regeneration process. I also take materials from a number of friendly tree surgeons, aboriculturists, foresters or practising woodsmen. The woods most commonly used in the production of my furniture are ash, oak and cherry although I will occasionally use alder, sycamore and the many species of fruit woods if I can source straight grown stock. Stool tops are woven using a variety of materials, and in a number of traditional and modern designs and patterns. Some stools may be painted using home made milk paints.
