Coloured Leads for Twig Pencils x 60

Description

A set of 60 coloured leads for the manufacture of greenwood twig or coppice pencils.

The set is made up with five each of the following range of twelve colours:

• Dark blue
• Light blue
• Dark green
• Light green
• Red
• Orange
• Purple
• Yellow
• ‘Flesh’ pink
• Brown
• Black
• White

Each lead is 4mm in diameter (with a tolerance of +/- 0.05mm).  I tend to find that a twist drill of either 3.8mm, 3.9mm or 4mm works well for me depending upon the type of twigs I am using and how well seasoned they are when I get around to them!

The length of the leads is 185mm.  If I am careful with my cutting, and depending on how generous I am feeling, I can make five or six pencils from each length of lead core.

The leads have been certified to EN71, the European Standard for toy safety – although I don’t actually hold a copy of the certificate.  I’ve never been asked to provide proof of the certification although I might request one just on the off-chance I’m asked for it at a fair or event I’m attending!
